First Responder Programs

Redemption Counseling Center (RCC) is the leading nonprofit provider of specialized mental health services for First Responders in Northern Arizona since 2020. Through its proprietary care model, RCC currently partners with seven first responder departments and supports hundreds of first responders with ongoing mental health services and in times of crisis.

This program is intentionally designed to address the unique psychological and occupational challenges faced by first responders, drawing on leading research, national conferences, and field-tested best practices. RCC delivers timely, effective, and evidence-based care tailored to the realities of the profession.

RCC’s model has been positively reviewed by an independent evaluation team and continues to demonstrate strong outcomes, including high client engagement, sustained utilization, and consistently positive feedback from the individuals and partner agencies. These results reflect RCC’s commitment to clinical excellence, accessibility, and meaningful, real-world impact.

RCC employs therapists who are exclusively dedicated to serving first responders and who passionately engage in research, specialized trainings, and continuing education. The organization prioritizes hiring clinicians who combine strong clinical expertise with a deep alignment to the values and culture of the first responder community, ensuring clients can who up fully and be understood.

As a nonprofit, RCC exists to meet gaps in care. Since identifying first responder mental health as a critical unmet need in Northern Arizona in 2019, RCC has remained deeply committed to expanding and strengthening this program.
