At Redemption Counseling Center, we deeply value the transformative experience of internship and the opportunity it provides for emerging counselors to grow in both skill and heart. Each semester, we are honored to welcome interns to join our team in offering high-quality counseling services to our community at a reduced rate.
Our internship program is designed to provide rigorous clinical training, meaningful supervision, and hands-on experience in a values-driven mental health setting. Interns at Redemption Counseling Center are an essential part of our team, and we want their experience to be both meaningful and realistic to the demands of professional practice.
Key expectations and opportunities include:
- This is an unpaid internship.
- Interns are required to be in the office a minimum of three full days per week.
- Wednesday mornings are required to be in-office for all interns.
- One evening per week is required.
- Interns will share office space with other team members, requiring flexibility in scheduling.
- Interns will participate in a required 40-hour training week at the start of the internship, providing a strong foundation in: RCC practice values, clinical procedures, documentation and systems, therapeutic approaches used within the practice.
- Interns receive fully paid EMDR training, providing valuable, evidence-based clinical skills.
- Interns gain hands-on experience co-leading and leading therapy groups, as available and appropriate.
This structure is designed to support interns in developing confidence, clinical competence, and readiness for post-graduate practice.
