Christina Curry, LPC - Lead Counselor - First Responders

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-22573) and Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), with a dedicated focus on serving first responders—including law enforcement, fire service, dispatch, EMS, wildland fire, and emergency healthcare professionals. My passion lies in supporting the mental health and well-being of those on the front lines of our communities. I prioritize advocating for the psychological resilience and recovery of these essential professionals.

With extensive experience in crisis and high-acuity clinical settings, I’ve worked closely with individuals navigating chronic suicidal ideation, trauma, burnout, mood disorders, and personality disorders. My therapeutic style is both compassionate and direct—I meet clients where they are while encouraging meaningful growth and change. I help individuals reconnect with themselves, especially those who have spent years prioritizing the needs of others, and support them in becoming the healthiest, most authentic versions of themselves.

My approach is eclectic and integrative, drawing from a range of modalities to best meet the needs of each client. These include client-centered therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, inner child work, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and a Master’s in Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I provide sessions in English and Spanish and offer in-person, walk-and-talk, and telehealth appointments to accommodate diverse needs and preferences.

Outside of my clinical work at RCC, you can find me at the gym, kayaking, walking my dogs, attending concerts, or spending quality time with my family.

I exclusively see individual adults and couples in the first responder community.
