I approach therapy with tremendous hope, having seen clients make important changes and experience meaningful healing. At the same time, I understand how painful and overwhelming anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and relationship struggles can be. My goal is to help clients feel deeply understood while also helping them discover practical ways to move forward, break unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful change in their lives and relationships. I believe that even when change feels difficult or out of reach, there is often more hope and possibility than we can see at first.
I work with teens, adults, and couples, with particular interests in anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship concerns, and parenting. I approach therapy with warmth, empathy, accountability, and curiosity, and I tailor treatment to each client's needs, personality, and goals.
I am a Level 2 Certified TEAM-CBT therapist, an evidence-based approach developed by Dr. David Burns. TEAM-CBT combines the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy with a strong emphasis on empathy, collaboration, and finding methods that are effective for each client. I also draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), family systems, EMDR, and positive psychology.
Positive psychology is the study of what helps people thrive—not just how to reduce problems, but how to build the skills, relationships, habits, and ways of thinking that help people live more meaningful and fulfilling lives. I love incorporating these principles into therapy because I don't want the goal to be simply getting clients from struggling to "okay." I want to help them build lives and relationships in which they can genuinely thrive.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Business from Brigham Young University and my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC-24175) practicing under the supervision of Elsa Pena, LCSW.
When I'm not seeing clients, I love spending time with my husband and four kids. I also enjoy playing sports, reading, and going on adventures.
I see individual clients 15 years old and above, and couples
