Brooke Jacobs - Intern Counselor
I am an intern currently in the final stages of my Master's Degree in Social Work at Northern Arizona University. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Applied Human Behavior and have spent the past four years working with children and families with special needs. This experience has strengthened my passion for helping people through some of the most challenging times.
I am excited to grow as a future LCSW, and deepen my understanding of how faith can be integrated into the healing process for clients who desire it. I look forward to training in EMDR. I have an interest in exploring a variety of modalities. My goal is to create a space where my clients feel safe, seen, and empowered. I believe that healing happens when there is authentic connection and consistent support.
I hope to work with children, adolescents, and emerging adults, eventually expanding into working with couples and families. I am passionate about helping clients navigate life's transitions, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. I want to meet clients where they are at and structure my sessions based on genuine therapeutic connection.
When not at RCC, I enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors. I also love to do art, read, and try new recipes. I have a deep love for dogs and would love to one day have a therapy dog to be available in services I provide. I believe in finding joy in everyday moments, and encourage my clients to do so as well.
