Addison Jones - Intern Counselor
I am a Master of Social Work intern from Northern Arizona University working under clinical supervision at Redemption Counseling Center. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and have experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through school-based social work. I am passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered as they navigate life's challenges.I believe every person has unique strengths and the capacity for growth.
My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and strengths-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, and relationship challenges. As a school social work intern, I have experience supporting students through individual counseling, crisis intervention, social-emotional skill development, and collaboration with families and school staff. I firmly believe in meeting each client where they are and helping them build practical skills while fostering hope, resilience, and confidence.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy hiking, paddleboarding, spending time outdoors, exploring coffee shops, and being involved in my community.
